I certainly beam when I view this layout. This is from my mothers graduation of college over twenty years ago. It took her nearly 10 years to get her degree but it was sure a great moment when she did.
I decided to use a quote for this page rather than just a title. "the future belongs to those who believe in the power of their dreams" eleanor roosevelt. This quote was certainly perfect for this situation because even after having two children... she accomplished her dreams.
I love the use of layering these two pattern papers but while still incorporating her school colors. The scallops are easy to buy border strips that are quick and easy for every page. I of course had to add some black stitching to give that next layer of texture. My favorite part is probably the "future, and dream" that i gold embossed to give a regal accomplished look.
